Project reflection: marshmallow guns

Project Description:
In Creators Studio Griffin and I made Marshmallow guns which shot up to 40 feet and shot very fast. Also, we discovered that you could shoot multiple marshmallows, like a shotgun.

Materials:
In this project we used 22 inches of 1/2 PVC pipe (1/2 is a the nominal diameter, its actual outer diameter is closer to 7/8 inch), 2 end caps, 2 three way junctions, and 2 elbows. We also used a few feet of black and green electrical tape.

Tools:
In this project we used a clamp, handsaw to hold down the PVC while we cut it ,and a pair of scissors to cut the tap

Challenges:
The biggest challenge in this project was trying to figure out to shoot the gun because there was no manual on how to do so. However, we figured out that you had to put the marshmallow in the gun and then blow it down the tube to build up pressure so it would ROCKET out when you shot it.

Fun:
The best thing about the project was actually shooting the guns at targets.

Learn:
We learned that you cannot shoot something if it does not have a build up of pressure or air. Also,  we learned that sometimes when things get difficult that you cant give up.

Project Reflection - Hummingbird

Project Description: What did you make? What does it do?
In Creators Studio Tucker Griffin and I made a vehicle that looked like a mutant turtle fish frog thing. It would go back, forward, left, right, and when it sensed something in front of it it would turn around and say "I didn't see you there".

1.What was the most challenging part of the project?
The most challenging part was to try and keep the mutant sturdy and steady and to keep from falling backwards or forwards and it once fell on its side.

2.What was the most fun or interesting?
The most interesting thing was shaping and detailing our mutant to look like it does now.

3. What did you learn by going through this process?
We learned that it is VERY important to stay on task and if you don't you fall behind.

4.If you had more time or could make a different project what would you do?
I would have made our mutant look better and really gone into detail on it, to make it look more like it should.
